I did a livestream on YouTube last night… because what else do you do on Saturday night besides draft a podcast guest release from scratch using Google Gemini Advanced 🤣

Here’s what I learned…

Quick Note: It’s been 6 years (!) since I did a livestream on my YouTube channel, so I decided to try something fun. Please forgive the mistakes and technical issues 😎

What did I learn?

I started with a blank Google Doc. I used no assistance to brainstorm some core concepts that I’d include in a guest release waiver for a podcast production company.

After I had my list and basic outline, I used Google Gemini Advanced (not within Docs) to have it role play. Here’s the first prompt I used:

You are a expert entertainment lawyer highly skilled in drafting contracts. Draft a checklist of key contract considerations for a podcast guest release agreement.

It spit back quite a list! Thankfully (for me 😅), pretty much all of it was what I had already outlined. However, some of it was irrelevant and not really appropriate for a simple guest release.

I then switched to using Gemini directly within the Google Doc. That’s where things go really interesting! It did a great job giving me some clauses to work with, but some were mixing issues.

I worked through all of this live in the video, if you are interested in learning more! I’d love to hear your thoughts and feedback, too.
